Understanding the Eugenics Agenda history and ongoing systematic GMO Food introduction into global markets..
http://truthstreammedia.com/rockefell...
Analysis of "Transhumanism: A Grimoire of Alchemical Agendas" by authors Dr. Joseph P. Farrell and Dr. Scott D. de Hart chapter outlining the nexus between the Rockefeller dynasty's quest for Eugenics and their attempt to control the food supply. The Population Council, founded by John D. Rockefeller III, was a powerful vehicle to bring family planning -- population control using "wanted children" as a banner for eugenics -- to the developing world in the post-War era while Nelson Rockefeller would play a significant role in consolidating agriculture and increasing the world food supply. Better barcode scanner.
It is not very powerful at this moment. Compare for instance with the QR Barcode Scanner from Geeks.Lab.2015 (at least on my HTC One M8 ....)

Currently, only the UK traffic light rating system is shown everywhere.
Please show Nutri-Score outside of France too to allow us to get a more synthetic idea.1 vote -
Add a clear documentation
in order to let people contribute to the project - I think that - all the documentation should be on one place and that old documentations/trellos/etc should be deleted

keep data up-to-date
Hello,
Do you have any procedure for verifying and updating the database?
Imagine I want to use - and above all rely on - your data because I am highly allergic to egg (actually my son is :)). So far, I just can't fully trust the information provided, because the ingredients might evolve and I wouldn't be aware of it. So I still have to read the tiniest ingredients lists on the packagings. Ingredients sometimes even differ for some products, depending on the batch number ! This is quite frustrating...
We could imagine some kinds of warning systems in case…1 voteHello Julien,
This is a tough problem that we are trying to address, but we haven’t found a very good way to make sure the data is up to date. In fact as you say, at a given time, there maybe multiple co-existing versions of a product. So I’m afraid that you will always have to double check the label.
That being said, we can try to be better by asking users to update new photos when we notice that the ones we have are old (e.g. one year).
We are also trying to track the evolution of products over time:

If you want to discuss this further, please join us on Slack. I’ll send you an invite.
Thanks,

Compress the CSV
When downloading the data export the CSV file is currently about 155mb. The download can be very slow at times. Save the time and bandwidth by compressing the file into a zip file. Using basic zip compression the file becomes about 22mb, that is about an 85% savings.

add a food diary app
Here's my use-case: I want to keep a food diary.
http://fddb.info/ has good usability (I'm from Germany),
BUT:
- their site has no export -- lame
- they keep data only for 2 years if you pay -- suuure
- you cannot add food facts -- lameI believe if there was a food diary app based on openfoodfacts, then people would have an incentive to contribute even more.
Imagine this: It is evening. You type the things you ate into the openfoodfacts-diary, but suddenly you cannot find X. Fortunately openfoodfacts is open, so you fetch X's packaging, look at…

Android app : Traffic light rating system / Système d'information «Feux tricolores»
Thanks to "Open Food Facts", I created an Android app called "NutriFlash" that allows scanning the barcode of a food product to display its nutritional score as traffic lights (a synthetic system of nutritional information, that provides information on the…

Being able to pick a picture from the gallery, on the android app.
I would like to be able to pick a picture from the gallery on the android app.
It would greatly simplify the adding of multiple products one after the others (by taking/modifying the pictures before) or even one...

Take photo of the ingredient list too.
This could be run through OCR on the server, so it would add a list of ingredients to each product. Really convenient for people with allergies.

Support multilingual packaging.
In Canada, packaging has labels in both enCA and frCA.
This is particularly difficult for ingredients, which would be nice to be able to input in both languages.
For an example of the current compromise for labels like this, see: http://world.openfoodfacts.org/product/06792800/diet-cokeTM-coke-diete-coca-cola

Source code of the site.
Currently there is a placeholder repository on the Open Food Facts Github for the server. It'd be nice if the actual code were there to aid in recovering from a disaster, such as the loss of the main site.
